I graduated with a first class honours in Sports Therapy, with full Society membership. I have finished a Masters in Advanced clinical Practice with the aim of carrying my research through into a Doctorate. It is a sports therapist job to assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate occupational or sporting injuries. My skills range from sports massage to joint mobilisations.
I was lucky enough to undertake a 2 year therapy internship with Gloucester Rugby which was the best experience I could have asked for; working with experienced Physiotherapists, Doctors, Strength and conditioning coaches and nutritionists. I have been working with a local Rugby team for 6 years as their therapist which has given me a wealth of knowledge of all types of injuries.
I work with the All Golds which are a semi-professional rugby league team which is also giving me a huge understanding of how to reach an athletes optimal strength. Alongside this I also have experience with GB ice hockey and the Olympic Malawi team. I have spent the year working in an injury clinic which has allowed me to see a variation of injuries including those from non-sporting backgrounds.
Not only do I love being involved in sport as a therapist, I get involved with sport on a personal level wherever possible too. I am a third dan black belt in kickboxing and wadaru and still maintain training whenever I can fit it in. I have run various half Marathon's, mud runs and mini triathlons. The biggest love of my life is my horses, I have been riding since I was three and I fully understand fitness and wellbeing for horse riders. I also love a good challenge, maybe one of my greatest achievements to date is climbing Kilimanjaro and taking a team up Mount Kenya.Services & Prices
